View Full Version : Rear Shock Tower Bar/Organizer
Purchased the rear shock tower bar in January, just getting around to mounting it, it did require some minor modifications, I'm planning on doing an article rather then try to explain it all in this post.
Got a few more close-up pics that I'm gonna add to the article.
It did help "stiffen-up" the rear end!! I'm happy!!!
Makes a nice compliment to the front Neuspeed bar!
Here's a gallery link to some pics!

P.S. If it didn't do much for performance it helped as an organizer!!!

hey rudy, what brand was the strut bar and how did u install it??
Here's the link:

ProCarParts has a terrible return policy, like never got an answer when i tried to return mine since the threads on one side were crossed, so i had to ffind someone with a tap to clean up the threads.
They also list them for the second gens.
I would consider buying from them a risk!!!

who else has them is the problem, i have been looking (maybe not in the right places) but as all parts for g1 is tough to come by...
is the threading thing the only mod to get it to fit?

Hi Rudy,
It looks like it has pivot points where the tower-brackets meet the actual bar. Is that so? or is there something preventing the bar from "twisting" between the towers? i.e. if the chassis torques, can one end of the bar move up or does the bar forces the chassis to remain straight? The Mugen strutbar has a solid one-piece construction to prevent torque flex.
