Is the 07 CRV like the older model in that there are plates that can be removed for attaching a roof rack? I have a 2002 CRV and use a Thule roof rack and was hoping it could be used on the 2007.
I didn't try my Yakima rack on it but tried the mounting plates off the OEM for 2002-2006. Looks exactly the same and so my guess is existing Thule/Yakima mounts should fit and what might change is the bracket adapter to cover it up.

Hello Bing,
Since your last post 3month ago, have you tried on your Yakima rack on the 07 CR-V as of yet? does it fit? w/o any difficulties?
Another thing, if I were to get the Honda rack, do you know whether I could use Yakima ski & bike attachments on the Honda rack?

Just an update - the metal pieces from Thule used on my 2002 model CRV have holes in the wrong places and instead of threaded holes there are now bolts sticking up so it is not a simple exchange. The feet need clearance above to slide into the metal piece.
I have not figured out a simple way of adapting the original parts so I will wait for Thule and hope they use the same feet. Unless someone has an idea.

I had them throw in the Honda rack when I bought the V. But, I really don't care for the idea of putting a bike on it. It bows, with a high spot in the middle of the rack back. So, if I put a Yakima bike attachment on there, my bike would be leaning to the left or right, depending on the side of the car it was on. I just can't imagine that would look "cool." I'm going to stick with using my hitch rack for now, and just use my Honda factory rack bars for skis. And yeah, you can use a Yakima ski rack with the Honda bars. It won't be as secure since it basically just bolts onto the factory bars.
