How do you remove the front headrests?

I just got some awesome custom seatcovers for $50 for all three rows and with velcro flap for the sideair bag.

in order to use the front seat covers it tells me to remove the front head rest. I see no possible way.

the seat cover tells me that it is possible just to push the fabric down until i see the release spring then remove.

is this correct? what do i push when i see this "spring"

I'm not sure what year you have, but on my '05 you need to press where the seat meets the bottom of the headreast and on one of the posts near the top of the seat should be a button like the rest of the headrests in the car. You press that and that should release the headrest. I hope I was clear enough. The front headrests should be able to be removed in the same manner like the 2nd and 3rd row headrests. I pushed down on the fabric the first time but didn't see anything but the post.... guess I didn't push down hard enough went back out there and pushed harder and saw it. thank you it was difficult to get to but i got it

BTW I have an '05.

I just wish the front head rests were adjustable. I looked at the notches on the posts and found only one set.

Glad I could help. At first I didn't think the headrests (but I think Honda calls them headrestraints) were removable and like you, I pressed the top of the seat further down and saw the latch. Yeah, I wish they were adjustable as well too.. :roll:

Are all Pilots' front headrests removeable? My brother has an '04 and he's been telling me that they are one piece with the rest of the seat. I was telling him he should replace them with headrests with DVD player screens. If he's wrong I'd love to prove it to him! :twisted:
