Just got an '04 with nav system. I noticed 2 blank switch covers to the right of the nav system & another next to the cruise & interior light switches. Any ideas? (***Reason I ask is my other car is a WRX & there are tons of blank switch locations where Japanese market options like folding mirrors go***).

Just curious...

The switch next to the cruise and interior light is for fog lights. The two switches to the right of the nav are suppose to be blank.

I don't know for sure, but my theory is that the blanks to the right of the NAV (in my case it's the stereo) are used when the vehicle is configured for right-hand drive. And in that case the two on the left would remain blank. Maybe we could find a photo of the interior in a right-hand drive model to tell for sure. If I can track one down I'll post it.

Jogee: that is good thinking; I think you are prolly right. I never thought of that (right-hand drive switch configuration). I was really hoping it was some cool & unique JDM options not available.

Actually, the Honda Pilots are only available in North America and not elsewhere... So in saying that, those blank spots are just for future upgrades that Honda may release in the future... Or you can use those spots to install switches for your own personal applications.

But do I ever wish that there were JDM Pilots... wouldn't mind having the abilty to do a JDM engine swap... =)

Don't forget about the Pilot's rare sister, the Honda MR-V. I've only seen them as right hand drive versions like our Pilots and only seen them in the Middle Eastern countries. If they're going to make a JDM and European Pilot they'll probably call it a MR-V.

on the '05 the right bottom blank is not a blank anymore, it is the 'passenger airbag off' light. Cheers.
