Has anyone heard what the prices will be? Why is Honda keeping that a secret? They gave us all the info about the vehicle but WHERE'S THE PRICE?

I asked the same question 2 days ago with no responses. Maybe everyone has "racoon fever" and do not want to "speculate"!

Here are the prices my friends on the all new 2007 CRV:
LX Auto AWD= $15K
EX-Auto AWD= $15K (add $500 for leather and Navi System)
Sorry guys but those are the only prices I got from my sources.
Honda just realized that we love theirs cars so much that they will just give them away. :P
Racoon, can you speculate on it?

Racoon, can you speculate...
Sure, I'd be glad to...

I'm sure the $15K price post was a joke, since the lowest msrp on the current CR-V is $20,395 (US).

The whole car market is so competitive and the CRV's market even more so with the competition's new models and discounts that I see the new V coming it within 2% of the current models, add $1500 for the NAV on the top end. Just because it is new don't mean they can just charge a whole lot more for it.

I noticed the local Mazda dealers are already offering discounts on the CX-7 which just came out a few months ago!

It's less that 2 weeks until the '07 CR-V's are at the dealer and we still don't know the prices! Is Honda going to wait until the day before (27th) to finally make the announcement?? :x

As much as I love the CX-7, I think Mazda has a perceived quality problem due to the Ford/Mazda hybrids that were not up to typical Japenese car standards. Also, this car has a turbocharged engine (a 15.6psi one at that!) and this is turning off many buyers for premium fuel concerns (a stupid reason) and engine longevity concerns (a good reason). Otherwise, I personally find the CX-7 more appealing and would be more interested if it had an NA engine.

2007 LX FWD Auto: $21,400
2007 EX-L w/ Nav: $28,000?!! (estimated)
Source: Autoweek
Compared to current prices:
2006 LX FWD Auto: $20,395
2006 SE: $25,450
Bottomline: it's more expensive (no surprise)

I'm taking the Racoon's stand this time by waiting until the following official Honda website has the prices. :)

well, even though it is speculation i look at it this way:
The loaded 06 is 26k, slap on a $1,500 nav unit, add 500 bucks or a 1k to the new model year, and i def think the 28/28,500 is on target (and overpriced)
