For you who have big rims n wheels (18" and up), did you change the shock absorbers and brakes?

I have 18" rims with 245/45 tires with lowering springs.
I'm thingking about gettin a suspension and brake upgrade coz after I replaced the new rims and springs, the suspension seems to be too soft, too bouncy. Also the brakes responds slower .

Any recommendation or opinions?

how would it affect the ride quality if your change your wheel size from a stock 15" into a 17" or 18" while keeping everything in stock (suspension etc.)?

Bigger rims means heavier wheels, which make the stock shocks and brakes works extra hard. In my case stock shocks becomes to soft and it becomes harder to brake.

I don't know what to tell you about the suspension other than if you didn't change the shocks when you changed the springs, you should have. If you didn't, change them out for stiffer ones. For the brakes, if you want to stop better you'll have to put on bigger brakes. The brakes that are on it are for stopping a 15 inch wheel, not a heavy 18. Don't think about the braking system being for the whole vehicle. Each brake's job is only to slow down it's wheel, if you put on heavier, larger diameter wheels then the momentum of the wheel is greater when you try to stop than it was stock and the brakes can't do as good a job.
