After careful consideration I decided to replace my worn out Bridgestone D694 (aka Revos) with Michelin Synchrones in 205/70-15.
They were fitted to my car yesterday. The 350km drive this morning was quite remarkable. :D
First impressions are as follows:
- the car is no longer drifting around corners as it was with the Revos (seriously).
- the car is much quieter.
- the car is actually sticking to the road.
- I feel much more confident with these tyres.
Downside:
- I feel much more confident with these tyres and have been driving too fast. :?
- I currently cannot afford beer (/or food) until Thursday, :o
I purchased them for $240 AUD each at NT Tyres in Berrimah, who were cheaper than Bob Jane T-Mart.
Regarding the Bridgestone D694 (Revos), although they are a pretty good AT tyre, I'm not at all happy with the fact they lasted less than 40,000km.
