Back on the hardest road in the Catskills area. First though warmed up on Lundy Road. Then to confront the evil Class IV 4X4 road: guaranteed CR-V damage...
Sure enough, I take some pokes to the undercarriage in the deep ruts. Nothing more serious than a couple of Northern Pinstripes though.
Found some snow too! It was still about 10 inches deep and a blast in my new tires! And that's the easy section of this nasty SOB road....

Back through the 2nd biggest stream crossing in this area!
Woo-hoo 8)
Down the steep bank, check out my approach angle!

Totally legal, I even have the card of the Park Ranger (a pretty gal with my dream job) in case I need help.
This road is a bear in a SUV. MAybe OK in a big 4X4, but one section is at a scary side angle (total rollover risk), then you cross a bigger stream section (approx 50 feet around a old rotten bridge) then a long long rocky stretch that'll loosen your fillings and your undercarriage! Yikes!
Here's a review from our first trip:

Bluemonster,
Did you go for the part of the trail that makes you look out the sideway and look at ground because the angle is so much?

I wimped out!
That section is too dangerous without help! I also measured the distances, 4 miles to the first stream crossing, so the whole thing is only about 8 miles long, but at 4 miles per hour, 2 hours to finish! I think that's what we did!

Wow, I ddin't realize we covered 8 miles. It did take around 2 hours.
I don't blame you, I wouldn't drive that section alone either :-)
Cool Pics :-)

Is that a bridge next to the stream? You should get a photo with the bridge in the pic and caption it something like "CR-V Natural Tendancy"!

Yep, that's a functional bridge, which is nice for scouting the hole for large rocks....
The "scary angle section" tilts the V about 20 degrees to the side and is thick mud...total seat pucker action there....

Cool trail... it seems like your bluemonster sees a lot of offroad journeys! It makes me jealous!:D
