I have a 2K 5dr non vtec hrv. I currently running on 205/60/15s Dunlop LM702. I used to be on 215/50/17s Falken Ze512. Is too much unsprung weight an issue? What is the best combination to address this? Thanks.
welcome!
HR-V has rather heavy unsprung weight overall but you can feel the difference if you add too much. i mounted 215/70R15 on it and it started to drive like a truck - you could feel the rockish wheels rattling down there on an uneven surface. now i have the same tyres at 215/65R15 and its okay, possibly because of the alloys.
replacing shocks with fresh ones always help a lot.

I changed from the stock tyres to 215 60 16 and it seemed to improve the ride quality - made it a little more supple.
