Hello all, I just bought/picked up my new Element thursday. I love it already, coming from a Subaru Forester.
I sure hope this subject hasn't been beaten to death, but has anyone installed fog lights after the purchase? I have seen official Honda kits for sale on ebay for $230 which is less than 1/2 price from the dealer. I also saw some other lights for $77 called 'Blinglights' and was wondering if a non Honda accessory is a wise investment. I have no problem installing the lights, but I'm concerned that the non Honda lights will require more custom work.
Thanks!
Chas
Do you want the fog lights for looks or function? If it's function you're after, you're probably better off picking up a good set such as the factory lights rather than going with the "blinglights" or other cheap lights offered on ebay. If it's looks you're after and are just wanting to fill up the factory holes, go to AutoZone or Advance Auto and pick up a set of 4" convex stick-on mirrors. I put a set on mine last week in the factory foglight locations and from a distance they look just like lights for about $200 less :)

Okay, that has my vote for the coolest cheap mod ever.

I am obviously partial to driving lights. 8) But I really like what dlc has done. The best thing about those is you don't even need a relay!

That made me go measure the holes in my 05 CRV. Sadly, they are oblong. The convex mirrors won't fit.
Nice lo $ mod, dlc. And, maybe it will help when people are driving toward you w/ their high beams on, by reflecting back at them!

Unlikely, as the shape of the mirror would scatter the light.

Of course, you nocturnal creatures would know about car headlights.
At the very least, it makes a great poor man's fog light, and as you said the coolest low$ mod yet.
