Before heading out on a trip to the south of france, the missus and I thought it'd be a good idea to take with us a powered freezer box with the idea of connecting it to the additional cigarette lighter that "I" thought was installed as standard in all HR-Vs. Much to my surprise and after 10 minutes of digging around in the boot, I couldn't see no sign of it.

So, after spending a a lovely week away with luke warm drinks and sandwiches I was wondering whether anyone has any experience of installing the additional mains lighter i.e. installation steps, photos, wiring diagrams. I could be jumping the gun a little as I'm still not sure whether our local Honda dealership (Barcelona, Spain) will stock this piece.

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

i was just thinking of the same. i guess a generic cigarette lighter type connector will do, just pick a suitable spot for it. i have installed a really thick cable for the amps in the boot so i will use the same one for supply. another thing to consider is the timer - i dream of a programmable one for the outlet to save the battery.

Yeaah But with the current state of smoking regulations you will soon have to sit in the boot if you want to smoke on a long journey.
