166 HP? Thats very disappointing, to me, at least. I hope the NA version has a different spec.

1 good thing - mp3 jack which means the stereo must be better than the horrible one in it currently, i hope

everything else, if those little sheets r even legit, 166hp? thats HORRIBLE, very dissapointed

Was hoping the aux input jack and tire pressure monitors were going to be part of the 2007 upgrades. :D Had to lookup what ACE was...here is a Honda press release from 2003 that explains it:

Welcome to HondaSUV.com, bsun. Thanks for the find, although Racoon will probably remind us of ..... lol

I see other recently joined members - Welcome!!!

Thanks for the ACE link, mcbeevee. Nice researching.

Now for the listed colors, I don't think you'll have time to be "whistling" with a silver V as they are fast. lol

I would love the telescoping steering wheel.

+ 10 horsepower (166 total) - I don't mind, that's not for Europe :P
ACE body structure - I thought that the Gen2 CR-V was already ACE compliant :?:
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) - good
Tilt/telescoping steering wheel - good
.40/20/40 folding seetbacks - good (looks similar to the RAV4)
MP3/Auxiliary jack - good
Dual deck cargo shelf - could be good ... so does that mean that the rear door opens in 2 steps?

That explains the Jay Leno chin.

From the article linked above:

The 2005 model Honda Odyssey minivan and the Acura RL sedan will be the first North American models to feature this new technology. The ACE body structure will be applied to all new vehicle platforms over the next six to seven years.

Yes, I read that ... but I thought they were already doing tests between different Honda models earlier. There was a crash test between a Pilot and a Civic coupé (previous model) a while back.

They might have just killed it for me

I haaaaaaaaaaate Honda's gray interiors  I think they just look terrible. White and red have no other option. I do like the green tea metallic color though, call me weird!

Hopefully Honda will change this with the US CRV and offer some more interior colors...

I think that I'm where I was three months ago on 2006 Toyota RAV4 Vs. 2007 Honda CRV. I still have to wait and see what the new CRV looks like in person.
I love Hondas since 2003 for their reliability and most important, their safety. Plus their interior is much nicer than Toyotas. Toyotas are more expensive.
That being said, this is what I think today:
I am sure that the new CRV interior will look like the new Civic, wich I like very much but, if it is smaller, lower and smaller cargo space, I will buy a 2006 Toyota RAV4 Sport Edition I4, auto, AWD and Sunroof for $23K (everything incluided except taxes)
I am serius, I don't like the RAV4's interior that much but it rides very nice (much better that the 2006 CRV) and the cargo space is fricking big. What about ground clearance in the RAV4? it is great.
Again, I will wait till I see the CRV in person because my wife already loves the looks of it.
I mentioned in the past that women love the CRVs, yes women love those little guys and I think Honda knows that. I think that CRVs are owned at least by 75% females. But let me add that the new 2007 CRV, will be the first model that I can see myself driving in, it does look more bigger, muscular and nicer compared to the woozee and rinky dinky first edition. FYI, I owned a 2004 and 2005 CRV-EX, auto and AWD.

On 08/10/2006 I will be road testing the new RDX, just to get a little taste of what the new CRV may ride and look like.
I am one of those people who believe that the CRV or RAV4 where not design for all terrain. I am planning on driving my next SUV on the East Coast (lots of snow and lots of rain) so I do preffer 7" or 8" clearance compared to only 5"
Guys, this is my very own opinion and I do not mean to offend anyone. We apreciate all your comments.

You aren't offending me....

I can tell you that the new RDX will not give you a taste of the new CRV at all. It has completely different suspension tuning, engine, transmission mapping, interior etc. But it will be fun just to drive :)

I too agree with you that the inside of the new RAV is ugly, IMHO. Although I am sure many people say the same about a CRV. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :) I'd just wait until the 3rd gen comes out, then decide!

altho this may be a hunch, that new Element SC or whatever it is has a "2.4 liter i-vtec 166hp" . . . Same engine in the CRV??????

Let me add this, I really love the looks of the new CRV, front, side and back. If I make the decision to get the CRV, I will wait till January or February to get a good deal. I guess it is a benefit when you don't need a car rigth away, that you can pick and choose from different dealerships so you can get a good deal. My Godfather needs an SUV on November (They live in NY) they currently lease a 2004 CRV. They are waiting on my decision (2006 RAV4 Vs 2007 CRV) My wife really loves the looks on the new CRV. She would buy the 2007 CRV today instead of the 2006 RAV4 base on looks only. I have purchased four Hondas since 2003 and I really love them all.
