:(
I had an incident with my new CR-V. I only get it for less than a month. My heart is broken. Now the car gets a huge "dent" near the fuel container (see the attached pictures).

I definitely want to fix this. But before I take it to the dealer or the generic body shop, I want to ask a couple of questions.

#1. I drove the car for a road trip after the incident, it seems everything is all right functionally. With your experience on CR-V, do you think the incident creates any problem other than the cosmestic issue?

#2. Is it possible to fix this dent completely without replacing that side panel? What I mean by "fix completely" is no noticeable scar from a distance.

#3. What's your knowlegeable guess for the cost to fix it? Either in the dealer place or in the generic body-shop. I'm in SF bay area.

#4. Since the car is so new, if I take it to the generic body shop, will the repair void my honda warranty?

Thanks, I really appreciate your help on this!!!!!!!

I am a shop manger in S.Cali., and from what I can see, it looks like a 10-14 hour repair (depending on hidden damage) We are at $40.00 an hourplus paint and bumper, flare and mud flap...looking at about 1300.00...Let me know if I am close to your area quotes...I am just guesstamating...but in the ballpark. Hope you get it fixed!! The red maybe hard to match without getting into the door. Most shops like mine (independent) offer life time warranties on repairs. Hope this helps
