Hi all,

At the moment I have 205/65 15 tyres on my HR-V, but I am looking to change my tyres and the ones I like are 205/70 15.

Do you think it will be ok to put those? Any difference I will have with them that I should be aware of?

The OEM were 195/70 15.

cheers

Vanesa

PS: Hope Andy doesn't see this as he gave me his opinion this morning

I have 205/70-15 on my HR-V. :D Don't know if this is an issue in NSW, but in the NT it is the largest size that can be legally fitted.
Any difference I will have with them that I should be aware of?
The difference in size from 195/70-15 to 205/70-15 is 2.1%. The difference in size from 205/65-15 to 205/70-15 is 3.2%. I checked my speedo with a GPS and found it to be more accurate with the new tyre size.

I also need new tyres, what are you looking at? I'm currently considering Pirelli Scorpion STR's.

with the CVT you'll notice performance drop when accelerating at that size.

I think to change my HRV 2003 V-TEC tyres [205/60/15 standart size]
to 215/60/16. May this change decrease[seriously]the acceleration?

no, it just affects the CVT-automatic model.

I have now Pirelli P6000
But wanted to get the Bridgestone D684 with WHITE LETTERING,,,

Andy stop laughing..... he keeps laughing every time I go to a tyre store and ask if the tyres have white lettering,, hehehehe

My tyres are new, I changed them in February and drove for 4,000 Kms.

If anyone wants to buy mine or know of someone wanting them, please let me know as they are for sale.

cheers

Vanesa

One more question, If I choose to use 205/70 15 do I need to get a new spare tyre??

Will it fit where the current one is??

I changed mine.

Buy a second hand wheel and tyre.
Note - Ford wheels have the same stud pattern as Honda.
Will it fit where the current one is??
Yes, but I had to remove the foam squares.
