Sounds good :) Real good, I'd get the EX if you budget can handle it!

Yeah, this forum is pretty slow. Try www.hondapilot.org for a busy Pilot forum! Don't leave us though!!! :(

i've been with Bing since around 98 so I'll always come back for more :)

so you think the $2300 extra for the EX is worth it?

Edmunds invoice is $24,294. I just picked up one... ask for the 3K tier program rebate from Honda. This is not advertised, my dealer was shocked I knew of it!
We picked up an exl w/nav 28,300 plus tax. They threw in side steps to boot.
this program is based on volume sales for the month. If your local dealer wont help.. get an internet quote from Chicago area dealers & have yours price match. Had a guy fly up from Kentucy ... he's the one who clued me in :) You can get a pilot at 3K below invoice...do not settle for less.

Nice tip Crvster!

Bostonlou, it's all a matter of personal opinion if you want the EX or not. If the LX and it's equipment level is fine for you, don't pay the extra money. I myself would get the EX just because I like the extra stuff!

Picked up my Pilot EXL last month from Open Road Honda. My price was $6000+ below the MSRP. They have a big selection for color. Very happy and recommanded if you are in NY/NJ area. Just ask for Jason, my sale person, he'll help you out with the price. I agreed with others, spend more money and get the EX or EXL model. You'll not regret it!!!

I went looking and found:
my 02 V and my wife's 04 Accord

Are you getting rid of your V. I also seem to remember your post about the "KIA/'07 CRV look alike" steering you away from the new V. The Pilot is sooooo nice, my better half wants to trade our V for one but the kids are all gone and the Pilot is just too big as well as drinking more petrol. Best of luck to you in your hunt for the right deal.

One of the female service reps at our dealership told me a story about hers. She was on Alligator Alley on the south side of the Evergades and had a flat tire just as dusk was setting in and it starting getting dark. She said the mosqitoes almost carried them off before they could get the spare off and the flat changed. She was going thru the motions of lowering the spare while telling this and acting like she was smaking mosqitoes at the same time. lol Guess you had to be there.

Can anyone tell me what the 3k tier program rebate from Honda is? Is this just for large dealers or would any dealer honor this?

thanks for the replies ... sorry i've been slow to get back to you

anyheel...
yes I've been thinking of getting rid of the V... but as you can see it isn't an urgent need

I'm just about to hit 90K on my V and she's been good to me but I drive so much now I want something more/newer

although the pilot is going to cost me $500 more a year in gas... at least :( I would love the extra size but not sure I need it right now

if we start popping out rugrats then yes we'll definitely need the space

and i'll be sure to stay out of the everglades!!! :)

I've had a 97 and 02 V EX because of the extras. Although in 97 I had to install the moonroof aftermarket

but now I'm not sure I'm an extras guy... must be getting old

or cheap!

LX is selling righ now for $ 21,895 in Central Florida Area...and that includes destination and dealer fee. Only add tax and tag. Test drove one yesterday, but I am getting cold feet after experiencing and reading about the Noise Cancelation system. While reading about it, I dismissed it as "just some crazy people hearing things", but I heard it myself and now I am a little confused. While cruising at about 1800 RPm, this LOUD tractor trailer noise came through the cabin...and there were no vehicles within 600-700 yards...and the ones that were there were some small cars. It appears that the Active Noise Cancelation system has some bugs, that during certain circumstances, amplifies road noise. It doesn't appear to be anything wrong mechanically with the car, but regardless...it can be very annoying.
