Air Condintioner Repair at 87500 miles

Had the whole aircond repair at 87500 cost me $1280 at the dealer. Does this sound right, have other had the compresser go out?

Check the CR-V forums. You may want to contact Honda and see if they will retro-actively cover at least part of your costs, despite it being out of warranty.

You actually did better than I did. My compressor just went out on my Pilot with 92K miles. Since metal shavings from the compressor got into the rest of the system, it wll cost me just over $2900 for this repair. I know the compressor will wear out, I was just hoping it would not be so soon on a Honda. I am still waiting to hear back from American Honda to see if there is anything they will do. They have no obligation to, but I can always hope.
