I have an OEM alarm on my 1st Gen cr-v.

Latetly the flashing alarm led hasn't been working properly. When i lock my doors or activate alarm the led doesn't turn on and start flashing anymore. Everything else seems to work. Parking Lights flash when activating/deactivating alarm.

I changed the led, thinking it was burn't and a couple of days later, same problem. I measured the voltage on the led wires and i do get the 2-3 volts output.

Any ideas what the problem can be ?

Thanks,

Matt

Roadster,

The OEM led is just a red led. No diode. 2-3 volt.
So i replaced it with the same. It worked for a day , then no more. Every now and then it flashes. Kinda intermediate.

I would like to know where its getting its power ?
When i measure the wires with my Fluke i get 2-3 volts. The led is ok , not burnt.

I think it might be a relay ?? Doesn't look like loose connections cause i checked. The oem alarm has 2 , 6pin relays and 2, 4pin relays.
Not sure if its that , or maybe the alarm module itself.

Its very annoying. I feel like removing it all and go with aftermarket.

Any other ideas ??

Matt
