Honda says brain waves control robot (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060525/ap_on_hi_te/honda_robot)
If they're doing that kind of research how long do you think it'll be before they put it in a Honda? Although it'll probably be an Acura option first.
It does raise some questions, at least in my mind (pun intended):
Would it require a special driving test to make sure you're capable of controlling a vehicle with your mind? (the "blonde" factor)
If you get hungry while driving does your Honda automatically turn into the next McDonalds? (marketing partnership opportunities)
What happens if you sneeze while driving?
Thanks for the link Racoon!
Interesting. I'm thinking I should beat traffic by going left...wait right...oh no, there's a cop and so maybe I should slow down.
I like it. Just make sure there are some filter settings so it doesn't do certain things that we're not suppose to do.

My honda motorcycles already work this way!
They go where I look without (seeming) like am adding any steering inputs. Whee!
so what happens if i start thinking about the car infront? does it start to move faster?
and the whole concept of "right of way" becomes "right of fast thought"
"you stop right there while i pass"
"damn it he beat me! i should have thought that first" :P
but just imagine the power law enforcement gets by this "mind control"

Repeat after me:
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
The diff fluid only needs changing every 90K...
(THAT's How I envision the Honda Mind Control to work. I pity those poor robots.)

Now thats scary technology.
I have always believed that most drivers out there on the roads have under powered post Pentium IV CPUs. This idea would be a bad idea, we should not go there.
We should have IQ test for a lot more things and driving is way up there on the list.
