HondaSUV Johnson Valley OHV Trip Report (Pictures)

Hi folks,

Today's meet was a blast. I had the opportunity to meet up with some long-time loyal members and it's good to see the people behind their online screen names.

We had 7 people in our group today. We met at 8am in the Costco parking lot in Rancho Cucamonga. I like this meeting spot as it's empty this early in the morning; plus with "cheap" gas nearby, it's always good to fill up before we leave.

After a short intro and learning more about one another, we embark on our tip to Johnson Valley OHV which is around 75 miles north east of Victorville in Lucerne. The drive up the Cajon Pass was non eventful and we soon reached Bear Valley Road exit which is around 30 miles from Costco. After getting off the freeway, we took a right and headed east bound towards highway 247. We drove another 35 miles before reaching the 2nd entrance into Johnson Valley OHV; our destination at Soggy Lake (though it was really more dusty than damp).

I had a blast, the drive from SD didnt take to long at all. Even coil-overs on my V( as low as it could go), I still did some single tracks and drag races with all the other V's. Nothing happen to my V at all. Right when we left the dirt road to go home and rock hit my windsheld and gave me a big A$$ crack. Other than that, That was the best Sunday I had in a long time.

i don't live in Atlanta but if there is one, i'd definately try to go. only a 4 hr drive. i do know NE Atlanta quite well. :D

Gosh, I've got folks writing wanting to go sooner. Let's see, sometime this July/Aug should be possible.
