A few changes to the standard Stereo system, for starters
I didn't like the finish of the standard stereo mounting due to the i'll fitting look of the clock panel, so I decided to make my own dash panel,
Bought a Second hand panel off Ebay (so that i could keep the standard to switch back to) a trip to halfords to get some exellently colour matched paint and a few days of filling and smoothing!!!!!!!
Amp mounted under passenger seat to keep the boot free for carting stuff around, (the sub box drops straight out if required), a few panels covered in grey sub box cloth keeps it out of the sight of theiving eyes!!
also this config allows easier routing of the power and signal cables (and keeps the cost of the cable down)
after waying up what speakers to fit in the rear i decided i had to chop the panels to get any quality speakers in there, i managed to get some amazing slimline speakers so all that was required was to mount the grills on the top of the panel, (tried to get the most understated grills i could)
Now the audios sorted i need to have a look at the exhaust i think!
any ideas?
Oh and a tip from previous experience, DO NOT bolt any of your audio equipment down more than neccasary, if any theiving scum want it they will get it! from previous experience of having all my panels and carpets ripped up!
