I completly wrecked my clutch! burnt it out, could get out of second gear... $500 bucks later all fixed! plus 4 new tyre's! Btw i don't know about you guys but has anyone really noticed the complete lack of power? there is no power in the hrv? what are the best ways to fix this problem?
Hmmm.... drop a v8 in? lol
how much would i turbo cost all up and installed? in like melbourne... i might get a quote...
or just get a more powerfull car.... lol

the HR-V's clutch is infamous for its weakness. i have struggled in deep sand (in my friend's manual V) and smoked it pretty hard.
there's plenty of room for V6 tho :D

My clutch handled pretty well a lot of races, even flat gear changes.
You can destroy it if you start from over 6000rpm, I tried a few times to launch from 6000rpm and 7000rpm and it slipped. The best starts are from 45000-5000rpm.
the only problem with this clutch is that is slow.
about the power, I agree with you, the dual pump system eats a lot of power. A few months ago the oil leaked from the rear diff, and the car was only FWD, but it run like hell, 1st and 2nd gear continous tire smoke.
I am planing to install a turbo with 6psi on the stock engine, and maybe later I will change the pistons and piston rods to handle higher boost.
