hey i was just woundering about getting a chip for the car?

has anyone got one?

where/how do you install it?

is it worth it?

is this a good one?

With regards to the one above do a google search on useless and crap. You should find a few, just like that.

As for performance chipping, the biggest problem you've got is the ecu which is obd2. Unfortunately obd2 can't be chipped yet per se. So you would have to go for a piggy back ecu. or a vtec controller if your car is a vtec. This would of course then need setting up properly on a dyno. Which leads you to the next problem with rt4wd and dynos. ie the don't mix well. There is more info on than on here.

No one chip can have the the ability to work in so many different cars (like the ebay add says , civic, crv, hrv. s2000 and so on). This is a con job. "Proper" chips are $600 plus items. Dont even bring that thing close your car.

I think hrv ben tried this, all it did was make the engine run over rich .... not good long term. Don't do it.

If you want it to run richer, then just punch the fuel pressure regulator. Hit it with hammer and blunt punch.
