Not sure if it's just me, but I think that the engine noise on my Pilot has increased since it was new at the dealership... I know that over time the engine wears out and can make an engine louder, but I just want to compare it with others...

I've got a dB (decible) Meter that I use to calibrate my Home Audio/Theater system... I used this to measure the noise emitted by the Pilot...

Here's the reference measurement... In my garage with the doors closed and inside the Pilot, I switched my ignition to on to start the "beeping" sounds that tells us our seatbelts are not on... These beeps puts out about a 68 dB reading...

Standing directly in front of the Pilot about 3 feet away, I'm getting a reading of 64 dB at idle

Inside the Pilot at idle, I'm getting a reading of 46 dB...

Pretty quiet either way, but I'd like to get some comparisons from other Pilot owners...

If you have a dB Meter or if you know someone who has, please measure your engine noise...

Thanks!
