after the hr-v of the month has been officially revived i took a camera
and while i was at a friend up in the mountain i made a couple of photos
and submitted for the revived hr-v of the month
but since the submission can not be accessed yet - i repost it here :)

i spent years in this wonderful community and at last im about to present you my

Hondа HR-V 2000 - 5 door 2 WD CVT Satin Silver Metallic

tinted rear and tailgate windows
electric mirrors and windows

Interior Honda accessories:
automatic air-conditioning
center armrest
dark grey center console
black wheel logo
4 speakers
5 seat belts

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/627/161hf.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Additional interior accessories:
Kenwood Double DIN Radio-CD-MD and Kenwood MP3 10CD Changer
205/65/R15 tyres with Nuttio Rims

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/3890/198wu.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Fuel consumption:
10 l/km city
8.5 l/km highway

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/5458/016og.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

ive had it for a couple of years and it never let me down
i enjoy every bit of it and every time im not in it i cant wait to buckle up and drive it around :)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4153/028ni.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

it is a compact yet spacey vehicle that spends fuel and drives like a small car, not like a suv
i like the smooth exterior and interior design of the hr-v and this is one of the reasons i bought it

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4820/050xx.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

the cvt makes my driving experience in the city a careless stroll and on the highway overtaking is just a press of a button
the center arm rest makes me feel like im riding in a soffa

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4729/149ve.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

the automatic air conditioning is a great accessory that is a must have for a pleasant ride
it warms or cools the cabin right to the needed temperature and keeps it
not like the regular car air conditioners
that if you dont play with it all the time freeze you inside during the summer heats or make you sweat in the winter

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/1982/156mr.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

the clean look of the center console is completed with the simple automatic air condition display and controls and the large double din head unit
the mp3 cd changer holds a good 7 gb of my favourite music that sounds through the four speakers during the ride

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/9406/180et.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

the big tires make my ride soft and sleek and i can always park on the curb with no hassle
the rear seats have a plenty of legroom without compromising the front seats comfort

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8160/177sc.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6584/124mk.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8233/117fe.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

with the fog lights the front look is tough yet still sporty
the sides of the car look smoother with the clear side repeaters

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/664/104ys.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/5229/095qf.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8156/083jh.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

the sporty look of the modulo front, side and rear trims is completed
with the large tailgate HR-V stripe that makes it all clear for those who turn their heads when i pass by :)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6411/075og.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8048/064vn.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

thats all - i hope you like it like i do :)

That's a really good looking V, etc. Don't know why you've been hiding it for so long.

One question though is it a Jap import? THe only reason I ask is the climate control. BTW the body kit looks really good on your V also.

I've just wandered over to the honda jp access site and done some pricing.

To get a front spoiler, a rear spoiler and side skirts will be nearly £700.

The gear stick for the manual is £96 and the same for the CVT.

The rear stick etc has is £47.

It almost makes the price for the full rogue kit look reasonable lol

thank you everyone :)
spot on goraiko - it is a jap import [and i recommend jap imports to everyone] thats why it has the auto aircon
i really have no idea why honda decided to ditch it for the rest of the world :|

pat - i dont know where you get those prices but i believe the front and the rear "skirts"
can hardly be called so - more like "angles" - as you can see - they are for the prefacelifted model
and youre probably quoting prices for the facelifted model where they are full length hence more expensive
also i believe the stick on mine is standard so stay away from my it!

all in all i bought the car the way you see it so please dont think ive been hiding
some cheap jap parts import channel from you or something :)
there were three jap hr-vs and this one was the best compromise between mileage, condition, looks and price
one of the other two made this one look naked on accessories, it looked like a show car, it was also tuned up but so was the price and the mileage of it was like a taxi

but anyway - as you said - it looks great even without the skirts [oops :D ]
every time i see one i cant believe honda decided to discontinue the model without a replacement :?
i still hope this is just a rumour spread by the envious competitors... i mean just look at it! how do you leave such a beauty?

?

Yup those are for the full "skirts" from the current range of modulo stuff. I do think you picked an absolute cracker for a car there and you did right to stay away from the extensively modified one, sourcing replacement parts for unknown mods is a nightmare so best avoided.

I think i speak for all when i say i'm pleasantly envious of what you got as standard on your purchase!

As Andy and I have said, it's a shame you kept her hidden for so long as she really is a peach :)

ah come on - dont make me feel guilty :?
i didnt keep it hidden - i just didnt have the time to pick a nice location, shoot, crop, edit plates, resize, upload and post some pics
oh and have the car clean at that exact moment
and maybe i was a bit moved by the nice view there and how the car looked on it

...edit plates...

what's with editing plates anyway? aren't we being a bit paranoid eh? we don't see your car doing anything your wife/leasing/insurance company wouldn't like ;)

With the amount of photos you took, im surprised there is no engine or underbody shots  ........or maybe you just want to prove the point that the HRV looks good from all angles. :D

the instrument dials in blue were standard fit on the Mk1 HRV. I think they took it off on the Mk2 models. If you found a scrap yard, you might be able to pick a set up :)

hi Sepra and welcome - i have no customizations in that area - all standard for the pre-facelifted [before 2001] model

thanx, didn't know that's standard. Still entering the world of HR-V, I would like to get a silver combination if possible. :?:

I've had a bit of a look, can't even find EL dials for the HRV. It doesn't seem to share the dial layout with any other model of honda either :(

That's true, found the same myself. But I know that some mad tuner, somewhere in Germany must have it. :D

The other option is to find a 2nd set of dials and modify them yourself. One of the civic EL kits might be able to be modified to fit - but i'm not sure how easy it is to cut that material and not damage it?
