That is hot. I so wish the HR-V would come to the States.
Somewhat off topic, do they not make the 3-door HR-V anymore? I only see the 5-door on Honda's site...

Shame you've got to sell her soon. My wife quite likes driving mine. I think it's the high driving position.

I really like the blue as well. I see what looks like some foothills or mountains in the background of the 3rd pic. Do you get a chance to take the V up there? Also I saw your Subaru (looks cool w/hood scope), how do you like that compared to the V?
Also, will be sold in the next couple of months, the wife doesn't like driving it :(
you can't be serious, right? you just bought a brand new honda man!
get her some cheap 99 toyota yaris and keep the beauty for yourself!

get her some cheap 99 toyota yaris and keep the beauty for yourself! She really can't get used to using a manual gearbox, we've had automatics for the last 15 years. If only Honda sold an HRV automatic. Where we live we both really need 4x4. Also found that the HR-V struggled on some of the fast mountain roads up here - just not enough power to get up long hills at 60mph without changing down gears. The engine really needs to be rev'ed hard to get enough power out of it. Maybe I'm just used to engines with more low-down torque.
At least she's agreed to getting a Subaru Forester XTE (http://gray.homeip.net/scoobie.htm). The turbo gives 230bhp, with automatic as well, so that should handle the hills up here. Just got to wait 3 months for delivery though :(
wasnt you the one with his wife concerned about the driving position in the hr-v? did she try this monster?
it would be a shame to loose such a beautiful brand new hr-v... but hey if you need a more powerful car - thats what you have to do
btw - why not a cr-v? this way we'd keep you here :)

The HRV needs plenty of revs to get the best out of it, but with a sweet gear change and smooth revving engine it's rarely been a complaint.
However i can see from your perspective that after what you've been used to, the HRV just isn't powered or geared correctly for you.
I'd be quite happy to take a Forrester turbo in place of it 8)

wasnt you the one with his wife concerned about the driving position in the hr-v? did she try this monster?Yes, that's me. We never were able to get a test-drive in an HR-V before ordering, although to be honest it's really the manual gearbox that's the problem. We've just got so used to automatics over the years.
Fortunately the Subaru garage have been excellent in getting a demonstrator Forester - we spent over 2 hours testing it. If only Honda UK and their dealers had demonstrator HRVs for their customers to try.
