Hesitation on Acceleration

I'm a new member, so apologies if this is covered somewhere else. I'm original owner of 2003 Pilot w/ ~ 34K mi. Engine hesitates a second when pressing the accelerator. Just started happening in the last few days. No CEL for now. Any suggestions?

Seems like a defective EGR valve....IMHO. :)

I suggest you take your Pilot to the dealer and have them replace it.

There's a Technical Service Bulletin regarding the matter and should not be a problem with them.

It seems Honda got a bad batch of this EGR valves and unfortunately were installed on some 03' and 04' Honda Pilots.

It will definitely be a big help with the diagnosis if you can replicate the problem at the dealership in the absence of the malfunction light lighting up.
