Finally done it. It sounds lovely, not too much noise and what noise there is mixes well with the induction kit. Don't know what to do with it now, probably just drive it for a while.

£280 from Powerflow. Place that fitted it was up near Doncaster, utterly friendly and fun to watch how they build it all up. If i can get it up on a ramp whilst it's still clean i'll get some proper underbodyshots.

I heard you can fit accord disks and calipers to an HR-V - i definitely think the front brakes are poor if you use them more than twice heavily.

Told you i wasn't going for one of those 5" bean can things ;-) I'd have liked quad pipes, we discussed it but it would cost me £450 and i'm just not quite crazy enough lol

Heh cheeky :-) We never see the back of yours, are you sure you haven't just bought the front end of a HR-V and have it in your garden as a playtoy ;)

hehe.

lol and there was me thinking you only owned 25% of an HRV :D

I had a look at that wmv file of what looked like an HRV doing a grand job of making an alfa look a bit silly, quite amusing :)

I did much the same thing to a 2.0l vectra sport on saturday night. going up a dual carriage way slip road to a roundabout - 70 up the slip and nearly the same around the roundabout. We'd started out at the start of the dual carriage way and he wasn't impressed that i'd out acclerated him up to 100mph and then kept in front until we came off the dual carriage way together.

I love my honda =8*)

Go to imageshack (http://www.imageshack.us/) to upload your pics (or a similar site, I use one provided by bellsouth). Once you have them on the internet, right click on the pic itself/click properties/now copy the location (by highlighting it/rt. click/hit copy). Come back to the Post a reply box/click inside the box so the cursor is there/click the Img box (just above the box you're typing in)/now paste the location in (rt. click/hit paste)/now click the Img box again and you're done.

You can do this w/any pic already on the internet as well.

Hope this works for you.

This used to be my Avatar but looked funny so small.

You can actually post them directly into your reply

If you look below your text entry box, you'll find an add an attachment section.
Click the browse button, find the image on your computer, then click the Add Attachment box.

The image will need to be less than 100 kb

Alternatively you can just insert the URL of an image posted elsewhere on the web

Underneath is what I had on my car whilst doing over 100 mph, that is a linked URL from a previous post.
Just press the Img button above the text entry box, before and after pasting the URL

Below that is my speed last night which is an attachment
Notice that the attachment has the info boxes above it

Any guesses what gear that was in???

nonono, i mean the one where all the readings were replaced by "too fast", "omg!" etc.

PatrickDorrian

What's too fast ;) I know - 105.4 as the speeding ticket says :-) I'm just glad they only stopped me as i was slowing down from what i'd been doing previously.

Happy to report that if you flog it to 103 in 4th and then stick it in 5th .. it will go ... and go ... and go until terminal velocity which is off the speedo and 7100 rpm :-)

I'd be guessing about 125mph ish. There's definitely more power with the exhaust and induction kit and that ecotek valve has improved low end pickup a bit.

Fuel economy is still awful though :-)

Had a test flight in a nissan 300 and i think i've fallen in love!

What do you mean "fuel economy is awfull"...... /

What are you doing? Mines got full sports exhaust and cat and custome extractors. I drive it like hell and return at worst 600ks per tank!

Mines a manual.

145 miles on £48 of petrol is what i'd consider "awful" if always great fun.

Dick_Dastardly

I've just spent 150 quid on fuel in one day !!!!!!

Although it was doing 103 in 4th it wouldn't have done it in 5th as I had 3 sets of ladders on the roof, and I needed all the hp i could generate at that point.

As I was getting about 110hp at those revs, taking it to 5th would have dropped power to about 90 ish and i would have fallen back.

Remember the Honda motto..... Revs = Power

Yours isn't the VTEC is it ... i'd quite like to have a go in a non vtec HRV to see what, if any differences there are in power etc.

Dick_Dastardly

No ! But it's a Rev2. . . Lower ride, stiffer suspension, and a whole bag of tweaks.....

I have been in a rev 1......it felt like a diferent machine.
