I love the Honda Element and I realy want to buy one, the only thing is I do not know weather I should buy a FWD or 4WD, because I really need to thow it behind my motorhome and if it is a 4WD I can't.
Would somebody know how to disable the rear wheels as I would like to hang it the two front wheels on a dolly?

First check this towing guide:
http://www.motorhomemagazine.com/dinghytowingguide/2005/DinghyRatings_p16_25.pdf

and if possible, glance at an Element's owners manual, to see what what you have to do to tow one, especially if it has an automatic transmission.

For a related CRV dingy towing thread:

why can't you tow with 4wd?

why can't you tow with 4wd? He's wanting to tow the ELEMENT with two wheels on the road and two on the dolly. The second the vehicle moves, the AWD starts to cut in because the rear pump is pumping faster than the front (unmoving) pump. The correct way is with all four on the ground (or with the vehicle on a flatbed truck)

See this post, as mentioned http://www.hondasuv.com/stg/viewtopic.php?t=9546&

oops, sorry, i saw "motorhome" and "towing" and assumed that he wants to tow a motohome behind his element.

but then again: "assumption is the mother of all fuckups"

You'd be better of towing as a "toad" or "dingy" with all four wheels on the ground. The Owner's Manual explains how to do that.

There is no easy way to disconnect the rear differential of an Element (or CR-V) with RT4WD.

If that form of towing is a must, get the FWD.

To put it simply:
- if you want to use the dolly, then get the 2wd Element
- you can tow either Element with all 4 wheels on the ground. However you do need a tow bar adapter (probably $400 installed).
- if it is an automatic, the owner's manual has instructions that need to be followed each day at the start of towing.
