We have just purchased an '05 Pilot EX-L and are very satisfied with the vehicle. But there is one thing I can't seem to find information about, that's the dust and pollen filters. First off, does the EX-L have dust and pollen filters, or have they been replaced with the auto-A/C. If not where are the filters, how often (adverage) do they have to be replaced, and most important I guess where are they? Oh yeah, how to do the job.

I know the 2004 has a cabin filter, I doubt the 2005 is any different. Do a search here, hondaman posted a great how to. The first time it's a pita, about a 40 minute deal and some cutting is involved. $120+ for the dealer vs $20 filter and 40 minutes if you are a little handy. The filter needs to be changed at least every 30kmis, more often if you are living in smog country.

I tried the search but come up with CR-V filters and replacements. I know it's waaay to early to be concerned with replacement filters, but just the same I would like to know what I'm looking at in the future. The thought of tearing apart my Pilot dash and cutting holes does not make me sleep very well. Joe
