Hey Di,

Thanks for sending the email. Paula and I will try to make it. I will give you a definite soon.

All of the members of the NEMC should try to make it to this meet. It is one of the more relaxing of the meets. You will get to talk to alot of the other members in this setting and like Diana said it is a great way to start the summer. If you haven't come to a meet yet this is the one to come to.

See you all soon! (hopefully)

Hey, my Civic made it into the picture, lol. Well, this year we will be in a HondaSUV :-)

Diana, hopefully you don't mind, I posted this on Edmunds. Without links to HondaSUV, they have been really strict about pocting links to HondaSUV. Funny thing is, I found out about CRVIX from Varmint on Edmunds. :-)

Actually you can copy the info and link to the image, it's off on my server.

Warning you we might be a little tired from the night (or morning) before, but I'll definately try and make it. 8) Might have to abuse vivarin tho

Sounds great! Glad to finally not be busy for one of these events.

I talked to my buddy, Erica, and she's free, so we'll both be joining the party on the 30th.

Hope to see some familiar faces, and some new ones, excited about putting names and faces together.

See everybody there!

I called FDR today and the parking fee is 6.00 per car.
I got a fax of the park and we will be in lot 6 with a back up lot of 4.
Hope some of the new NEMC can join us.
Not sure how good this pic is!!!

Thanks Rudy - that's a good enough map I think to get an idea of where to go.

If all else fails, when people get there, they get a map.

Also bring along an FRS radio and tune it to channel 7.

Like Blueiedgod said the more the merrier. Honda/Acura it's all in the family. It's a real casual event, although all of the meets are really casual, very laid back and friendly.

Hope your able to make it, everyone or just one :-)

Perro, grillin is just fine no prob at all.
They do have grills already there, you just need charcoal for them.
Remember to bring a garbage bag since you are required to take whatever you bring with you home again including garbage.
No prob with alcohol just have to keep it under control.
I'll try to get there around 11:00ish to grab our spot.
Bring cameras too.

Rudy

jimmiegrillo, I made the plunge and went for a true digital SLR the Olympus E-300 so bring your Nikon so we can play, if your still coming!!!!

OK
It's five days away! And mother nature is looking good! Don't want to make much noise about the weather but it does look good for Saturday!!
Got a chance to work some OT (very rare these days) so I won't be able to get there before noon, was hoping to get there to claim a spot in Lot 6 around 11:00 ish.
Gonna just bring snacks and some sandwhich stuff rather than grilling always seem to forget something when I grill away from home!!
So don't forget your radio's, on channel 7, and your camera's.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!See all this Saturday!!!!!!!!!

Brenda, I'll have your stickers with me. You guys drive safe that's a long drive!

I was just about to remind you about the stickers. So far we have HondaSUV member supporter, Goongala Goonga, FHP (Bing sent those as well) and my WOW stickers on the back window :-) I was thinking of putting the NEMC sticker/s on the rear quater panel windows.

Hey everyone,
We had a great time. It was nice to see some new faces, we hope you too had a good time and will come back again.

I've been a bit busy today so haven't had a chance to do the write up. I will post a full write up tomorrow night.

If you took pictures yesterday, email me diana [at] criana . com --- and I will send you a username and password for the NEMC Photo Gallery.

There is an album set up already so people can begin uploading.

Yeah, skyout is right. I usually block out the plates when I take pics of the group. Try to do it when you get a chance Rudy.

It was a great day. Great to see everyone and to meet more people. It was a great turnout this year.

Talk to you all soon.

Well it came and went again, the Annual North East Member Club picnic. This year it was held again at FDR Park in Yorktown Heights, NY. The park is about 40 minutes out of New York City.

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/P7300902a.sized.jpg

Blueiedgod and Brenda got there ahead of time and secured a spot for us to picnic at. HondaCRVerde arrived next, followed by Rudy, Michele, Perro Loco, Beth, Joey RR and someone hit me I can’t remember his other half’s name (I am so so sorry).

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/IMG_2227.sized.jpg

Craig and I arrived next and set up to relax. The park was really busy this weekend, and we couldn’t park our cars right next to our spot, we were across the parking lot, which isn’t far.

Jimmiegrillo from Connecticut came along with his friends Erika and Mike. So we got 2 people from Connecticut. Come on people I know your out there :-)

Goonga Ron and gconjr were also supposed to come to the meet. We made a few calls to Ron, we were getting worried he wouldn’t be able to make it but he did come with Gadget.

Klynch13 and Paula came along with their new addition to the family, Alexandra. She was absolutely beautiful and so quiet. They came this year in their Element.

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/P7300897a.sized.jpg

Gconjr also brought along an extra car like he had said. His father and him both have 1st gens. Gconjr’s is quite modified with a Mugen body kit, a JDM mirror, and a few other accouterments. His Dad had a nice gold 1st gen.

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/IMG_2241.sized.jpg

Joey RR’s red 1st gen rivaled Rudy’s impeccable cleaning job of his black 1997 1st gen. Ron and I, I think were going for dirtiest CR-Vs.

Blueiedgod was the only one with a 2005 model. We spanned the years, 1997-2005.

There was plenty of food to go around. There were hot dogs grilling, plenty of chips and dip, along with a good assortment of cookies.
Everyone chatted and mingled. Blueiedgod got to use his RC cars. KLynch13 brought along his too.

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/IMG_2275.sized.jpg

At one point it became an Apple PowerBook meet, as Jimmie had brought his 17” PowerBook, I had my 15” PowerBook with me and HondaCRVerde brought his 12” PowerBook. But not to worry PC fans, Perro Loco and Blueiedgod had their laptops out too.

New to NEMC Meets this time:
• GConjr and Dad?
• Joey RR?
• Jimmiegrillo (he came to a very informal meet previously)

And as with any meet we have the digital cameras were out snapping away pictures. Canon, Olympus and Nikon were represented.

HondaCR-Verde brought along his dog Brad, who kept everyone entertained with laughs and the “awwwws”.

Around 6:30-7:00 everyone started packing up and heading out. There were a few of us left and HondaCRVerde was giving a nice tour and demo of his DVD system and sub setup, when the unthinkable happen. His doors locked with the car running and the keys in the ignition. Don’t ask how, we spent 90 minutes waiting for AAA to show, trying to figure that out.

Perro Loco and Beth kindly enough lent HondaCRVerde their AAA, and he called. They said, “oh we’ll have someone right out”. Time goes by, we’re all sharing good stories and laughing.

We stopped the park police, none of them have a coat hanger or a device to get into the car. Beth and I stopped one of the maintenance people seeing if maybe they did. Notta.

AAA calls around 8:40 saying, “They tried the police but they can’t help (well no duh) and they were dispatching a tow truck”. Meanwhile another state park police cruiser with two cops came by and gave us some crap about not telling them. They offered to help until they heard it had side airbags.

http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/albums/fdr05/IMG_2278.sized.jpg

So back we went to the mercy of the two truck driver. At 8:55pm HondaCRVerde gave up. He taped up the back passenger (unmovable) small panel. Then used a lug wrench I had and busted through to get into the CR-V.

Afterwards we all high tailed it out of there. At 9:20 HondaCRVerde got a call from the tow truck driver confirming the location before he left to come help us. Unreal huh!

All in all, a great meet. And hey while HondaCRVerde is out a window, we got to visit a bit longer and share some laughs.

Enjoy the pictures - full Gallery here. (http://www.criana.com/crv/nemc/gallery/fdr05)
