Explaination: I know the tyres topic has been done the death, the Archives and Current forums are scattered with bits of information regarding tyres. What I'm trying to accomplish by setting up this new topic is to centralise and have HRV owners elaborate on the tyres they have used.
AIM: For this topic to become the central HRV tyre database for road tyres.
What ROAD tyres have you used on your HRV?
Brand
Model
Tyre size
PSI
Why did you choose this tyre/size/pressure?
General observations regarding this tyre?
How would you rate these tyres?
Would you buy them again?

Brand: Dunlop
Model: SP10
Tyre size: 195/70-15
PSI: 39
Why did you choose this tyre/size/pressure?
Came with the car. Run on high pressure as I believe it provides better handling on bituman roads (and fuel economy).
General observations regarding this tyre?
Never had any problems with them.
How would you rate these tyres?
Good.
Would you buy them again?
Would consider, but would probably try to find something better.
Brand: Hankook
Model: 406V
Tyre size: 205/60-16
Pressure: 2.0 kg/cm²
Get them last summer becouse org. tires was worn out and was noise and terrible to drive. These are quater than old ones, and not so groove sensitives.
They also are much cheaper 398€ agenst 600€ for ex. bridgestones.
my Cooper Cobra G/Ts are now EOL. it took me 90 000 km to drive them past wear marks (i had them on my Taurus before the HR-V). excellent durability and price/performance, otherwise - poor. they did what they are meant for: long highway miles. RIP.
make: Cooper
model: Cobra Radial G/T
size: 215/70R15
pressure: 2.0-2.2 atm
lifetime: 90K km
price: €80 a piece
buy again?: yes for a cruiser, no for a SUV

Yokohama
Geolandar A/T
215/60/16
28psi
got these from honda when i had my original tyres checked for leaks.
what happened was they sold me 4 tyres for £300.
less road noise now that psi is at 28. when i had them at 39-40 it was really noisy and uncomfortable.
okay, re-installed the OEM Bridgestones.. the beast is much quicker now! i didn't remember the effect a large tyre had on performance.

Just a few days ago I replaced the stock Yokohama A348s with BFGoodrich Macadam T/As on my VTEC HR-V.
The A348 is a good 100% on-road tire.
The BFGoodrich Macadam T/A is the only tire I found in size 205/60 R16 that has some off-road capabilities (BFGoodrich rates it 90% on-road, 10% off-road). It has deep grooves and definately more grip than the A348. My first impression of this tire is that it seems to be a good compromise between on-road performance and comfort yet providing some off-road performance.
I'll post more on this tire once I've collected more experience with it.

There is other good alternative, I looked for an good all weather tire and I found the Cooper Lifeline touring SLE (marketed in Europe and available in 205-60 R16 in V speed code)

It seems a good tire, not too radical (for not increasing the fuel consumption) adapted in mud and snow, with interesting off-road capacities
I have not tested them yet, at the moment I have in my Hrv the Goodyear hydragrip in the front train and the Nokian NRVI in the rear train (both summer tires)
Previously I had installed the Michelin Premacy, but I didn't like them at all, they had a very poor grip!
