Has anyone changed their brake pads on their own? Can someone please post instructions on how to do this?

Thanks. :D

Holy crap, 25k miles and that rusty???
Geez, glad we don't have snowy/salty roads, that would drive me nuts to have rust at all...
Sorry, a little off topic, but I never realized that things rusted up that fast up north...

Brake pads are easy to do. Your best bet is to buy a Chilton's manual or a Helm(a little expensive, but better)
It's very straight forward, nothing really mechanical about it....

Mine were the same way. I had member Rudy help me with a brake job on my V. From watching him  it seemed like something that would be beneficial to have someone who knows what they're doing with you the first time. But overall didn't seem too hard of a job. Not to diminish in anyway the time Rudy put in doing the brake job.

Cool...would you be able to do a step by step write up for our CR-V tech articles knowledge base?

Thanks!

The important thing is having a c clamp to depress the caliper.

I did mine yesterday, had 65k on a 99 CRV.
Replaced the Front Pads.

Like another guy said, if you want to do maintenance on your
vehicle buy some tools and buy a Chiltons manual, then buy
the recommended tools in the manual.

Anything less, and your asking others to do your stumble work.
