Good Day

I have an offer to purchase a new 2003 Element EX for $17,600+TTL. It looks like a great deal. Is it? The dealer is reputable.

I would like to get a couple of accessories: the step bars and the roof ack. I have seen that I can get them for a lot less on the net than what the dealer asks.

Does anyone have experience installing these and how hard is it?

Thanks a million

accessories ;ike the bars are easy enough if you have the inclination, BUT, when you get out of the E, they will hit you in the back of the leg, and if in muddy areas, and you have a good pair of pants on, like goin gto the office, the pants WILL get dirty. the accessories on this site are way below dealer prices.
Ask the delaer of that includes the $1500 off before 3/2004 on 2003's? and ck with carsdirect.com for a quote too, just to make sure :)

My EX 2wd was $19,700 out the door. I feel i got a far deal. I found a site that seemed to have great deals. Why finance the add ons! There were no great deals or ofers at the time i got mine. The problem was getting the color I wanted only one black ex 2wd for 100 miles. I could have got a better deal but not worth having a color I don't want.

Thanks

Indeed I opted out of the accesories. Some of them are an outright robbery. FOr example, the bike forkmounts for more than $100 when your local bike store will sell them for $15.00

With handa-accessories I saved on taxes, labor and installation since some of these things were so easy to install, such as mudguards.

I also added a trailer hitch. After some comments fom some of you I settled for 'hidden hitch'. It was $150 installed but it is really nice in that you can bearly see it and the receiver has a nice cover that blends in nicely with the bumper.

I just paid $18,900 for a Black 2004 EX 4x4 AUTOMATIC and Paid $1,295 for the 7 year 100,000 mile extended warrantee. Also paid $400 for the alarm system... they started at $600. I know I could have probably got them down to $350 but the finace "guy" was actually a very attractive woman and I caved in. I still think it was a decent deal overall for everything.

Purchased at Santa Monica Honda via Fleet/internet sales. My experience was great with them.

Don't ever just walk into a showroom and deal with the sharks. Go right to the fleet manager. they work on unit volume not on commission.
