I just notice that the lens of the fog light is cracked. I have a 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L just one month old. I need to know how can I replace the cracked len and where can I get the part. Please help
Also , any suggestion on how can I protect it in the future, can a grille guard help protect it?

Thanks

Sorry to hear that. I have fog lights also in my '04 EX and the fog lights are made by Raybrig (Japan). You can look at installation instructions on most major web Honda parts dealers. See the link below for the instructions, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to read their PDF type files. The parts should be available at any Honda parts dealer.

You could also contact (pm or e-mail) one of our member wwong, he installed his Honda fog lights and made a DIY article of the installation. He also sells 3M protective film for the fog lights.

That's terrible to hear. Installing fog lights rquire removing the front bumper, so I don't think it's an easy task to replace the lens. I may be wrong.

Win, it may be possible that the fog light itself was defective... If you can somehow prove that there was a leak in the foglight that could let moisture in, you should be able to claim that for warranty purposes...

Even, if it's not defective... Try talking to your dealer to get it fixed/replaced under warranty... Your Pilot can only be a few months old...

Good Luck and keep up posted on what happens!

After you get your replacement, I highly recommend you get my clear polyurethane protective covers for the fog lights.

Where can I get the clear polyurethane protective covers for the original Honda fog lights, not the OEM? or is there no difference?

win, anything from wwong is going to be custom. Everything I have gotten from him looks exceptionally professional, like it came with the Pilot. :)

If your fog lights look like the picture below. Then you have the OEM fog lights. They come with or without the lower trim. I got my fog lights with the lower trim. It is difficult to see from the picture. But there is a clear protective film right over the lens. If you are interested in getting the protective covers, send me a PM for details.

wwong sells those. He also sells other 3M foam and protection tapes for Pilot. He's the General Manager of a shop that uses 3M materials for die-cut precision. Once he owned a Pilot, he started making these protective materials for the Pilot. Couple of months ago, I had a chance to visit his shop and was very impressed.

These fog lights look very nice! I'll have to get those one day. Wife is scolding me for spending too much money on my cars (both Pilot and Prelude), so will have to wait for a while.
