We have a gen-1 CR-V which has been great for us but approaching 9 years and we have the itch for something new. Also we have a pickup truck that we drive 2-3K miles and it's sole purpose was to haul our dirt bikes to go riding. So we would look to the E as a replacement for both. With the rear seats removed, is there enough height and width to stick one adult dirt bike (Suzuki DR350) and possibley one kid's bike (Yamaha TTR125LE). If I can get the adult bike in there, the kids bike can probably ride on a bumper hitch carrier as it's only 170lbs. In terms of length, the adult bike almost fits with the tailgate closed on the truck (6' bed) so I would say that the edge of front to edge of rear tires is about 76". Width is probably about 3' at the handlebars and height is about 4'. I looked on the Honda website but they don't provide dimensions for the cargo area, just cubic feet but I don't know how many cubics my dirt bike takes so it's a useless measurement to me. I know I can tow a trailer as I have with the CR-V but I don't like doing that.

Some have done it.
Here is a link to an Element owner that fits his Buell in his Element.

That's great, one guy keeps his 1100cc Kawasaki sport bike back there. I like the idea of throwing a bike back there, taking it in for service and riding to work on the bike.

Don't have an E yet..
Only a V.

But on the the topic of FITTING.
E or most vehicles have 4 seats !!!
and mostly only two are used ( Else get a minivan for the soccer team ).

Back to FITTING.
need only two seats, SO remove or uninstall the
front PASSENGER and rear PASSENGER side seats !!!!

Now you can fit a Goldwing or Fatboy and a baby dirt bike too.
passnger now relocated to the rear DRIVER side seeat!!!

Send pix please.
The above was done for 6 foot freezer
and ME rifle vault on a 1990 Jeep Cherokee ( not classic )
Passenger had to ride in the back!!! Freezer and Rifles ( tankers and such ) happilly made to the outdoor gunrange.

Right turns were another thing NO way to see what is there.
Left turns only !!!!! Else mount a camera on the handlebar pointing to the right of the E.

Goodluck.

I would just use a small trailer to carry motorcycles of significant size. Otherwise you will spend so much time inching the bike into the back of the car, being careful not to scratch the plastic etc. With a trailer you just drive the bike on and tie it up. 8)

Removal of the front passenger seat will mess with the airbags sensors and trigger a fault light to come on on the guage cluster.

Trailers are a pain, used one with the CR-V but here's the problems, 1) storage, takes up and entire car bay in the garage which I can't afford to lose as we have no street parking, 2) Speed, we are limited to 55 mph when towing a trailer, even on road where the speed limit is 70 mph, while disobeying the law is not a huge issue, the likelyhood of getting a ticket for going 80 mph if you are towing a trailer is greatly increased, 3) theft, we stop off for lunch and it's a lot easier to either unhook the trailer or remove a lightweight dirtbike (relative to the Goldwing) off the trailer. The extra effort of inserting and tying it up inside and avoiding damage is not that much of an issue, we only go riding 4-5 times a year. So the question is more of will it fit and it looks like it will, even if I have to take the front seat off which is not a preference. I'm even thinking that the tire can come up the middle between the front seats if it's too long and the small kids bike off to one side.
