...possible to use a larger capacity battery on my 2nd gen V and able to fit in like a k&n typhoon filter under the hood?i'm first planning to get a larger battery(i added amps and 2x300w subs) coz i can sometimes see my headlights fluctuate when all that electronic devices are on(but not really very serious).i thought that a larger battery might affect the space needed to fit in the filter.thanks in advance for the help given this topic.more power to the V hive(hondasuv.com)

I think that what you would need is a heavier duty alternator, which provides power when the enigne is running.

adding a bigger battery will actually make you lights blink worse.
when the engine is running, the alternator has to charge your bigger battery in addition to running your subs. the bigger battery will only help for when the car is off.

Put a capacitor on your system and your lights will stop blinking regardless of battery and alternator size. Crutchfield has them, so does best buy, circuit city, ect. Their sole purpose is to prevent this from happening.

caps dont make your lights from dimming... it only helps get that little surge of power your amp need everytime it pounds away for your subs... only way of making your ights dim is bigger battery and alternator.... i dont know about how much your amp is pulling from your battery... but if your going to compete get a seconded battery and about a 120v alternator... that will help out but it is kinda pricy
