Hi guys
Can anyone of you please tell me how to check is there a chip in my 03 model crv from PI.
Tks Daniel
Hi Daniel,
The chip should be for the immobilizer. If you insert the key, there should be a green key light on the display. Does yours come with the immobilizer? Some PI does not have this. If yours does not have the immobilizer, there should not be any chip in the key I guess.

Hi Alex,
Tks for the info. I was thinking to install an auto-starter in my v.
The installer ask is there any chip in the key. If there is then they will need to modify the system. They said that not all vehicle will show the key light infront of the panel. Sometime they need to take out the steering panel to check if there is any controller there.

hi,
I can confirm all PI CRV does not come with immobilizer unless you request it before they bring it in.
We got a one of our guy who has install it in his V.
Also the most easy way to solve the immobilizer issue is to double side tape a extra key near the ingantion area so that the V detect the Key chip. This way you can use your remote start and also when you decide to sell your V, you can uninsatll the remote start alarm and return the V to its org. condition without much problem.

hi,
see this website and give them a call. should cost about $500+ include installaton.
http://www.singtech.com.sg/cas.htm
Can install Pagegurad 3000 which is a US product but shorter range. The other is Singtech Innosys. Echo 2 Way with Remote Engine Start, this one got a longer range and come with lot of feature. The remote is also one of the good looking one.Singtech is a local car alarm manufacturer.

hi,
The alarm you brought must first come with immobilizer feature. This will allow the installer to install a relay and he will cut the wire from the ignition start cable and connect it to the alarm system.
see dig.
Hi Paul,
I think Bongel wants to know how to add an immobilizer into his V.
