Funky....if the noise is occuring when you are making slow or dry(not moving) turns, there is a very good chance that it is you strut bearing.

I just had mine change and it is good for now, however this noise was not there when I initialy picked up the vehicle. It develop like yours, after a few thousand km.

I am watching it every day to see what will happen. I was told that if it comes back they will change the bearing and the springs.

This problem is very common on the CIVIC, which this part is borrowed from.

They have not enginered a solution as of yet.

This was the fatal change that Honda made on the new CRV....wishbone to Mcpherson.....cheaper in $, but cheaper in quality.

Other wise it's a great veh.

After going crazy for almost a year, I believe I've found the answer.

I took my CRV to the dealer to get the brakes done, and complained about the clicking noise when turning left. They took car of the brakes and could not duplicate the clicking noise. I couldn't believe them and hurried to prove them wrong. Low & behold the noise was gone.

Unfortunately, the noise returned withing a week.

It was my luck to run across a technical service bulletin from honda that decribes this very noise. The solution is quite simple.

All you need to do is loosen the 3 bolts on the left (drivers side) transmission mount & shift the mount to the right. The reason you do this is to shift the engine slightly to the left. Tighted the bolts back to 40 ft/lbs. Apparently the Rt engine mount rubs (clicking noise) against the Rt strut tower when turning left.

There is a Honda service bulleting somewhere on this site that describes the entire procedure.

Well, hope this helps....
